There’s a time for coffee and there’s a time for wine. Good Companions, housed in a Bishop Arts Craftsman-style bungalow, has you covered for both. The cozy cafe offers locally roasted Noble Coyote coffee brew, notable teas and a fine selection of natural wines made from organically or biodynamically grown grapes, native wild yeast and little or no added sulfites. “I am committed to supporting the natural wine industry, as it promotes sustainable farming practices and small-scale production, and also gives us all an opportunity to enjoy the way wine has been made for thousands of years prior to industrial farming and mass production,” says Natasha Nazerian of Exxir Capital, the family-owned company behind Good Companions as well as nearby venues Paradiso, Botanist and Tejas. Her personal favorite on the wine list? Lambrusco, a natural rosé that’s mineral-driven, zingy and full of bubbles. Cheers to that! 308 N.
