Montage Deer Valley, Park City, Utah

Since I am lucky enough to live in a year-round sunny climate, I do enjoy a winter getaway to a glamorous ski resort and the Montage Deer Valley is absolutely magnificent. Do not miss the spa; the Alpine Body massage is incredible. I love to relax in the Apres Lounge after hitting the slopes by the fire with a good cocktail or a chai latte. When you get out and about in Park City be sure to stop and shop at Gorsuch for incredible home and fashion goods. And of course, I would be thrilled if you stopped into my own showroom Barclay Butera Interiors right in downtown Park City!

Palm Springs

When winter sets in there is no groovier place to escape than swinging Palm Springs which is just a quick drive from my hometown of Newport Beach. Not only is it spectacularly beautiful with perfect weather, but it’s also a great escape for the design community and so many of my friends and colleagues. There is never a shortage of things to do, events to attend, and fantastic restaurants to have a bite at. Stay at The Rowan for a hip, downtown experience; or the Parker with its funky vibe and crazy-fun atmosphere. Make sure to have dinner at Tropicale which has amazing food and the fantastic Coral Seas Lounge.

Las Ventanas luxury resort in Cabo San Lucas

The ultimate warm-weather destination is luxury resort Las Ventanas in Cabo San Lucas. The ocean views are world-class and the sunsets are beyond. Don’t miss the fresh catches at Sea Grill right on the water and trust the tequila masters to set you up with Mexico’s finest tastings. The detox facial at the spa is relaxing and energizing at the same time and leaves my skin looking great. If you can swing a villa on the ocean with an infinity pool you’ll never regret or forget it!
