Known affectionately to fans as “Wemby,” the award-winning basketballer grew up in Nanterre, just outside of Paris. He rose through the ranks to play his first match with the French National Team in 2022, winning MVP for that year as well as Best Young Player Of The Year, finishing as the leading scorer and shot blocker.
Wembanyama was recently selected as No. 1 overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs, and Louis Vuitton is exceedingly proud to showcase his talent and style in upcoming campaigns.
“Embodying the bold vision of Men’s Creative Director Pharrell’s debut collection, Wemby, the number one pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, joins the Maison as a new House Ambassador,” Louis Vuitton wrote in a caption to Instagram.
