Working in hospitality can be a highly rewarding career, however it comes with a heavy physical and mental demand. Hospitality professionals endure long hours and need to always be on their A-game to ensure that they bring every guest a flawless experience. Taking the time to rest and re-center is key to having a long career in this industry. Here are a few of the ways I keep myself at my best.

Other than ONE65 of course, some of my favorite chefs in the city are Adam Tortosa of Robin, Stuart Brioza & Nicole Krasinski of State Bird Provisions, and Teague Moriarty of Son's & Daughters. Also, thank you to the teams behind these incredible chefs as I know it takes a village.

Personal trainers

I'm the Bar Director of a six-story restaurant with four distinct dining concepts, so my personal trainer is ONE65 Chef-Partner Claude Le Tohic. Running the service stairwell and working behind the bar keeps me in pretty good shape. I like to multitask.

Concierge services

Mariah Zuefle at the St. Regis San Francisco and Juan Pablo Heins at the Ritz Carlton know this city inside and out. You want to check out a new restaurant in the city? Chances are they've been there. They will give you the best recommendations on where to eat, drink, and things to do all over the city.

Designer clothing shops/tailors/cobblers

Hands down Klein Epstein & Parker for all your suiting needs. Their tailors are very talented, and you can customize every detail from the fabric to the buttons, even down to the specific thread being used.

Barbers

I go to Salon Reyes in Union Square. Todd Reyes is super skilled and makes you feel at ease in the chair. I like to finish my cut with a straight razor shave and a dram of whiskey.

Tea Shop

My favorite tea shop is BeauTea Space on California and Larkin. The shop owner is very knowledgeable of the benefits of the different tea types and they stock everything you need for a “treat yourself day”; facemasks, candles, palo santo, they have you covered.

Spa

Reboot Float and Cryo Spa are amazing. Floating is great for relieving muscle tension and clearing your head. It's the perfect environment for meditation. They also offer Cryotherapy which I'm definitely trying next time I'm there.
