He may be too banged up to do business on the hardwood these days, but that didn’t keep three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry from partnering up with top golf equipment manufacturer Callaway in an effort to grow the game and make it more accessible to everyone.
It’s not a surprising move for Curry who doubles as a competitive, scratch golfer away from the Golden State Warriors – and when unencumbered by injury. You’ll often find him leading the way at any number of off-season pro-ams around the world.
Curry recently helped Howard University launch their first-Division 1 Golf Program, set to debut for the 2020 academic year. The NBA star pledged to fund the university’s men’s and women’s programs for the next six years, with a goal of making the program self-sustaining.
The Callaway partnership will also feature co-produced original content exploring Curry’s endeavors in golf and should progress toward co-branded equipment in the months to come. callawaygolf.com
