Superman Shaquille O'Neal was ready to soar out of his Lake Butler estate near Orlando, FL., sooner than expected.

According to a report by TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, the Shaq-sized mansion was first listed for $28 million in 2018, though the price was later dropped to $16.5 million.

In the end, O’Neal’s estate sold for $11 million, a rather serious dip from its asking price, but one that still left the retired NBA star with a $7.05 million profit, up from his original purchase price of $3.95 million. Benjamin Hillman with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty represented O’Neal in the sale.

The 31,000-square-foot mansion spreads across three acres. Each room consists of colossal furniture, some boasting the iconic Superman logo, dedicated to Shaq's on-court nickname.

The mansion includes 12 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms; a chef’s kitchen with Viking, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances; a large living room; formal dining; media room with bar; and a “gentleman’s room” with game tables and a wet bar.

The master wing features a four-room closet, his-and-her baths, and a custom 15-foot round bed. The guest wing has its own grand room with a bar and five ensuite bedrooms.

Some unique rooms in the mansion include a temperature-controlled, cedar-planked humidor and wine storage, as well as an aquarium-style room with a saltwater triangular fish tank.

The new owner will have to take on a superhero mindset, especially when in the presence of the wall mural of a life-size red tractor with the front cab bumped and with a Superman logo on the grill.

Shaq’s former home was with him throughout his NBA career. He's still is considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time. While the selling of his home might have been difficult, it will forever be a larger-than-life estate thanks to a larger-than-life all-star.

The profit is lower than expected, but the money loss is hardly major compared to the star's business investments. Shaq continues to get paid for what he loves to do, DJing, hosting events, starring in commercials and talking sports as an analyst for Inside the NBA on TNT in Atlanta.
