What made you decide to start your own wine label?
My father and I conceptualized Red Bear in 2017 because of our shared passion for red wine. The Sonoma area has such a rich history of great wines and we had the opportunity to create our own brand set to our own tastes. Red Bear is the evolution of a passion project into a business.

You travel a lot. What are the five items always in your bag when on the go?
I always find myself with extra items on trips that I never take out of my bag but these items always get good use:
- A versatile pair of sunglasses, like these Bottega shades.
- Whether you're in the tropics or a city escape, a small day pack or crossbody is a must to carry all your essentials. See this Rimowa option.
- A simple yet stylish sweatsuit for any weather or casual occasion. I love the Essentials collection from Fear of God.
- My Apple Watch. This allows me to stay on top of my workouts, emails, texts, and business while on the move.
- Finally, a comfortable and easy pair of slides. These options are perfect for a quick walk around town or relaxing in the hotel lobby: ALD, Marni.
How would you describe your personal style? What are some of your favorite designers, currently?
I tend to mix things up. I don’t have one particular style that I conform to, I like to be able to express myself with different styles depending on the environment. I love what Kapital, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro, Marni, and ALD are doing right now with menswear.
What app on your phone do you use the most?
Even though I rarely tweet, I’m always on Twitter. That’s how I stay up to date with news, culture, sports, and whatever funny memes/videos are going around.
How do you like to enjoy your wine?
Socially. Wine always tends to bring out the best and most entertaining conversations. Opening a bottle of wine with dinner, game night, happy hour, or just anytime to let loose is always appropriate.
