Ron David Edwards Breaks Down His Top Spots to Keep Fit & Fresh in DC

Because my schedule is so tight and I am always on the run, it makes it difficult to schedule appointments. So in order for my life to function properly, I have to find the businesses that make me feel luxe, special and offer everything that allows me to a-la-carte myself to a fabulous experience. If you follow me, you'll have the best of the best.

I love working out solo. I enjoy a paced out workout in a fabulous gym, and my favorite gym is VIDA Fitness at The Yards. This modern and newly built gym just 500 ft from Navy Yard boardwalk is a light-filled gym with the state of the art equipment and super clean and surprisingly non-smelly locker rooms. I love this gym because it has great parking and even a rooftop pool that is open during the summer months which allows just enough time between appointments to have a cocktail in the sun.

The most opulent and relaxing spa in Washington is The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Washington. This staff is amazing and the therapists are top of the line. For Facials, you must see Beata and do the Codage Paris facial. With Codage, you can have a custom serum that's perfectly made for your skin, you will look and feel amazing after you leave.

I love everything on the menu at Bourbon Steak at The Four Seasons. For holidays, birthdays, lunch or even french fries, I am obsessed. You can find me sitting at the bar or a table inside Bourbon at least twice a week. David Van Meerbek, the GM of Bourbon always ensures a perfect experience, and my favorite hostess Toni Jackson always brings a smile to my face and gives me the perfect table.

For almost 6 years, I have gone to my favorite Dominican Barber, Rudy Basora at his shop located just on 14th St NW in Columbia Heights. He always gets my cut right, a high up bald fade, and never takes my hairline back. Many of my close friends now go to him, he's a fan favorite!
