Edwards is a real estate salesman for Compass as well as a designer, stylist, and 10 year DC resident. Edwards dual career has allowed him to grow his connections across DC and build a name for himself in the fashion industry, creating intricate and exclusive apparel and leather lines “I am fortunate to have been able to find success in both of my passions. Real Estate and Fashion,” explains Edwards. When Edwards isn’t in DC you may find him in his hometown of Cleveland, people watching in Paris, or going on his dream vacation to Bali.

I attended Howard University, obtaining a Bachelors of Fine Arts in History and Sociology.

Basketball.

Volleyball.

Best vacation ever?

Paris! I love urban vacations. I love people watching and shopping. Paris is the epitome of all that I love.

Dream trip destination?

Bali.

Favorite dinner?

Branzino (deboned) with brussel sprouts, some elevated-chic form of Macaroni and cheese and rolls with French butter!! Perfection!

Favorite dessert?

Banana pudding.

Underrated food?

Chic Fil A French Fries.

Dish you’re best at cooking?

Arugula and scallop salad with vinaigrette.

Best meal you've had at a restaurant?

Branzino with brussel sprouts.

Road trip -- three in the car with you. Living or dead. Who are they? Why?

Oprah Winfrey | I would get tickled just hearing her perspective on everything. She is also super rich and I love how she makes a tune typed noise with everything she says.

Odell Beckham | I love following him on social. He seems to be super down-to-earth, very normal and playful. I can tell he would crack jokes and keep us laughing the entire time. He also knows lots of rap music lyrics and I would be tickled at watching/hearing him spit them out, as sometimes I can never understand what they are saying.

Lindsay Lohan | Lindsay was super popular when I was growing up. She would be the wildcard in our group.

Favorite TV show as a kid?

House Hunters (I have always been obsessed with homes).

A good idea is not good enough, you must be able to execute and with precision.

Best thing about your career?

I get to meet and interact with so many amazing clients. My extended family is super vast. With all of my Real Estate clients over the years that now have babies, and have expanded their families, I am now uncle Ron. And equally with the loyal clientele of RON DAVID, my clothing & handbag label, retailed exclusively within the Four Seasons Hotel Washington Spa Boutique.

What do you do now for work? Tell us something about your work and career path.

I am dual-careered. I am fortunate to have been able to find success in both of my passions. Real Estate and Fashion.

I work with the Jenn Smira Team at Compass, selling around $20M annually. i have the most amazing clients in the world. I am super fortunate.

After many years in the retail industry, both as a VIP and NBA Stylist, I launched RON DAVID, my leather goods and RTW collection in 2015. I opened my first store in October 2017 on U Street, and now my collection is exclusively retailed within Four Seasons Hotel Washington, within the Spa Boutique, where I also serve as Creative Director and buyer of the space.

Do you have any philanthropic interests/endeavors?

Yes! I am an avid supporter of education and funding of college tuition for those who are less fortunate, or whose families are unable to afford tuition. I have done so privately for many years. In 2020 myself along with my mother, a retired Air Traffic Controller after 30 years, and my sister Ashely aka A$H a successful musical artist, and a graduate of Spelman College of Atlanta, will launch The Ron David Edwards Family Foundation, that will raise funds to support education, the arts in all forms, and initiatives to support a clean and healthy environment.
