When you think of Studio 54, club culture and electronic dance music, timepieces don’t generally come to mind.

But it’s exactly those tidbits of inspiration that informed the design of Richard Mille’s exquisite new RM 71-02 automatic tourbillon Talisman timepieces. The nonchalance and carefree attitude of the days of disco are in direct contrast to the technical challenges that took the watches’ craftsmen six months just to place the stones. The distinctive collection of 10 models is limited to seven pieces each filled with the spirit of the ’70s and a collision of color and stones never before seen at Richard Mille. While the pieces may reflect an insouciant attitude, the extreme artisanship is a testament to true mechanical innovation. Just be sure you hang on to it as you dance the night away.
