As a successful professional surfer and a devotee of fitness, Ezekiel “Zeke” Lau has some Hawaiian go-to's that keep him in shape and on top of his game. Here are a few of his top spots in his area.
I have been training with Darin Yap since 2012 through a friend of mine who was training there for football, we worked closely to create a regimen tailored to surfing. Over the years, Darin and the people I train with at Tactical Strength Hawaii have become like family to me.
For nutrition, I love eating at home. My girlfriend and I like to make clean meals that are mostly plant-based. When going out we like happy hour at Doraku on Kapiolani for the vibe and sushi, and Ruth’s Chris for an occasion.
As for clothes, I always go for a minimal look. I’m into quantity over quality. Quiksilver is my go-to daily; Quiksilver on Kalākaua and Lewers St. are my favorite spots. Rag and Bone is my go-to for a dressed-up look with a clean white tee and a blazer, with designer white or black sneakers.
