Designed to channel a wine vault in a French chateau or Tuscan villa, The Cellar (thepostoakhotel.com) at billionaire Tilman Fertitta's lavish urban oasis, The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston, has more than $3 million in wine inventory. Located on the sixth floor, the sumptuous space is decked out with exposed brick, a cross-vault ceiling and glimmering chandeliers, and is available for world-class private dining and personalized wine and food pairings for groups of up to 20. Depending on number of guests, menu specifications, date and wines requested, dinners with wine start at $5,000. The wine program, curated by master sommelier Keith Goldston, boasts 30,000 bottles from 25 countries and vintages dating back to the 1800s. “The Cellar offers a chance to drink your way through some of the greatest wine stories ever told,” says Goldston.
