As one of Miami’s premier communications experts, Manny Machado has worked with everyone from Bacardi to Coca Cola, Ford Motor Company and Coors Brewing. He loves living in the emerging distrust of MIMO in Miami and contributes, as a board member, to the Smithsonian Latino Center, Continental National Bank and the Spanish Broadcasting System, among his favorite things to do.

Hometown?

I was born in Miami, have lived here my entire life, so I am a local.

Place you call home now (neighborhood etc)?

I’ve lived in the MIMO district for the last 10 years. I love this emerging area of Miami.

Favorite sport to watch?

Tennis.

Best vacation ever?

Baltic Sea Cruise.

Dream trip destination?

African safari with good friends.

Lobster thermidor.

Road trip -- three in the car with you. Living or dead. Who are they? Why?

Silvia Rios Fortun, Alex Villoch, Maria Elena Salinas and Emma Carrasco. These ladies have been in my life for decades, and are my pillars of strength. We laugh, cry, and love each other without barriers or conditions… They live in my heart everyday, I am blessed to have them at my side unconditionally.

Star Wars.

Meryl Streep / Alec Baldwin.

I work long hours during the week, so I spend time at home catching up to speed.

Best work advice you ever got?

Work hard and efficiently. Our world has changed so much that we can now do more in less time.

Best thing about your career?

I get to work with a business partner, Luis Gonzalez-Esteves, who I admire and respect. I love my colleagues, and am blessed with amazing client partners.

What do you do now for work? Tell us something about your work and career path.

I co-own a multi-cultural advertising agency, C-ComGroup, Inc. This is all I have done for the past 30 years, and before that I worked in television.

I am on the board of directors of the Posse Foundation.
