Where does your fashion aesthetic come from? My exposure to so many different personalities, cultures and fashion in nightclubs on the Strip combined with working with celebrities in Hollywood really helped shape my perspective.
What did you buy with your first paycheck working in nightlife? An evergreen, three-piece suit from TopMan. I fell in love with that suit so much so that I bought it in four other colors, and not one of them was black.
Describe your style in three words. Loud, eyebrow-raising and exciting.
Who is your style icon? Virgil Abloh. He’s really redefined high-end luxury and gave high-end streetwear a home.
My fashion splurge is... There’s this $1,500 phone case box by Louis Vuitton from Virgil Abloh’s collection. It dropped last September and it sold out. I’ve been on the hunt for it for the past few months. It’s now $3,000 on resale.
Cologne or aftershave? Cologne. I’ve worn YSL L’Homme for years.
A man is not fully dressed without his... watch. I made a conscious decision when I was 13 years old to start wearing a watch because my father and grandfather told me that if you don’t know what time it is, you’re just letting time slip away.
The best advice you ever got was... take a job, any job, because you don’t know what door that job will lead you to.
