Leica has debuted its newest camera and while still offering it's industry-leading technology, the limited editiion release also effuses a chic, urban spirit.
The iconic brand is known for its high-quality premium German camera and sports optics. Over the years, Leica has released many limited edition collaborations. Still, the Leica D-Lux 7 “A Bathing Ape x Stash” brings a new style of street photography and design into its arsenal.
For Leica, it was a no-brainer to finally create a camera that optimized the already long history of photographing street fashion and art. The BAPE X Stash camera features a compact black or silver finish camera that integrates the unique power of street photography. The cameras are stylized with BAPE’s iconic ABC Camo design covering the camera body and the brand’s APE Head symbol and a signature Stash graffiti tag embellish the camera.
The camera offers similar technical specifications as a serial production model and deliver superb photos at any time or place. Leica D-Lux 7 also features a sensor that creates an even higher resolution for pictures and videos.
When you make a purchase, you will also receive a specifically designed camera pouch, an extra carrying strap and an auto lens cap that opens and closes as the lens retracts and extends.

A Bathing Ape is a famous Tokyo street style brand that embodies the creative and unique personalities of younger generations. What's more, the team at Leica decided to pair the already spirited brand with street-art icon Stash to take the innovative partnership to the next level.
Stash is known for his unique graffiti style, moving away from hiding work in New York subways and instead embellishing walls in colorful designs that everyone can see. Leica is even celebrating this partnership by hosting an exhibit at its store in Los Angeles and showcasing photographs and a live-painting by the icon himself.
“When I started doing graffiti in the early 1980s, the term ‘street art’ didn’t exist. It was only later, when we emerged from the tunnels and train stations, that we became much more visible. Documenting my art through photography has always been part of my creativity. With the advent of digital cameras, I got my first Leica. They are visual, based on color, form and expressive freedom. I think they are strongly youth-driven, and there is so much creativity between them that one feeds into the other to help complete the story,” said Stash, who recognizes the vital link between these art forms.
Leica D-Lux 7 “A Bathing Ape x Stash” retails for $1,895 and will be available via the Leica Cameras website or in-store.
