Offering a bright spot in a dark news feed, actor John Krasinski’s launch of Some Good News network offerscomfort to all ages during the COVID-19crisis. The actor’s adorably homespun “news network for good news” on YouTube, which debuted in late March, quickly surpassed 2.5 million subscribers and well over 15 million views at press time.

The first episode spotlighted uplifting stories from around the world and cameosranging from The Office cast mate Steve Carell to Robert De Niro to, of course, his wife, Emily Blunt. Special segments include Zoom-bombing a young Hamilton fan with a live performance by the Broadway hit’s megastars (including Daveed Diggs and Lin-Manuel Miranda) and heart-melting moments of thanks to front-line medical workers.
