The Gotham City watch is the latest offering in Jacob & Co’s previously announced, multi-year partnership with Warner Bros., and a tribute to Batman’s time fighting technology. It comes in two styles; the first in black DLC titanium to represent the Batman in all his masked glory; and the second edition in 18K rose gold to represent the stylish businessman Bruce Wayne.
Only 36 individual watches have been made in each style, making up the total 72 timepieces.
Both designs feature bold Batman symbolism. Fans will enjoy the Batsuit’s design within the shape of the lugs, while the dial is shaped like the Bat emblem and cut into a slab of pitch-black stone onyx and outlined by a composite of yellow Neoralithe.
The full design emphasizes a balance between the light of Bruce Wayne, and the dark of Batman. Overall, the Gotham City piece is dark, angular, edgy and muscular.

Under the dial, customers will find visible mechanics including a pair of triple axis tourbillons made of sandblasted titanium, which are shaped like the grapnel launcher Batman uses to climb the walls and roofs of Gotham City. Housed in shiny black cages with a lighter, matte gray part, it was created to further illustrate the switch between dark and light that symbolizes Bruce and the Bat.
The rose gold and black watches differ in the caseback. The black DLC caseback is covered with a signature drawing, a laser-etched design of the Batman, and customary brand signatures of the brand and DC comics. The rose gold caseback is made of traditional transparent sapphire to offer a new perspective on the mechanical workings of the Gotham City design.
Made up of 382 components, the timepiece houses complex flying tourbillons that work to complement the running superhero theme, each rotating along three different axes and driven on separate cages.
