Swiss watchmaker Hublot brought in skiing legend Bode Miller to help celebrate the recent opening of the brand’s first Aspen boutique (535 E. Hyman Ave. #106), and also debuted a special Spirit of Big Bang Special Edition Rockies timepiece to add to the festivities. VIPs hit the slopes at Snowmass, with a Hublot display clock slowly ticking down the official opening of the new boutique, where Miller and Hublot North America President Jean-Francois Sberro did the ribbon-cutting. The celebration went on into the night, Aspen-style, with a special gala at the members-only Caribou Club.

“Hublot has developed strong relationships with leading ski destinations around the world, so we are proud to be opening the first North American mountain-resort boutique in the iconic city of Aspen,” Sberro said. “We are looking forward to developing our relationship with this incredible city and are grateful for Bode Miller’s continued support.”

The special 42mm Spirit of Big Bang Special Edition Rockies timepiece is limited to 24 pieces, and features a durable, scratch-resistant white ceramic case on a rugged blue rubber strap; a bold icy design approach, ideal for the stylish skier. A HUB4700 self-winding chronograph movement with a 50-hour power reserve serves as the beating heart of the new timepiece, as it does for all Spirit of Big Bang models. $26,700
