Restaurateur Nick Mathers hails from Sydney, Australia, but he’s right at home in the Los Angeles scene. To stay on top of the restaurant game in LA, Mathers uses these hotspots:
Go-to trainers
Damien Puckler at Maison Fitness. I respect Damien's can-do attitude and approach to training. Damien is extremely dedicated to his profession (both in acting and training), and that type of energy rubs off on all of his clients - including myself. I am really big on both mental and physical health, so working with someone who shares this mantra is super important for me.
Nutritionists/chefs
Chef Oren Zroya. Oren is based in Malibu, which is perfect for me as I have a home there. I love Oren's approach to fresh ingredients (Oren even dives for his own seafood!).
Personal trainers
Davey Fisher. I appreciate that Davey offers a variety of workouts and fitness resources. As I am constantly traveling, I like that Davey can accommodate my busy schedule. With all the responsibility that comes along with owning a restaurant group, having a consistent work out routine is extremely important for me as a daily regimen to stay balanced.
Concierge services
Quintessentially. I don't directly use the service (yet), but they have worked with the Wish You Were Here Group and bring in some amazing guests to our array of restaurants. We really value their partnership in the industry.
Designer clothing shops/tailors/cobblers
Opening Ceremony and Acne Studios. I select these designers because they are a great fit for me and I enjoy shopping on/near Melrose Place.
