After almost a decade playing professional soccer, Michael Chabala entered corporate America—banking, brokering, and private equity, but he found that something was missing, so he returned to his passion and founded sphere, a business designed to connect people on and off the field. Creating unique workouts to compete in the boutique fitness world is no easy feat, here is how Chabala stays fit and healthy around Houston.

Go-to trainers

My entire team at sphere! Clearly I am biased because I know my team and how wonderfully they play on and off the field, they are each truly remarkable with their own style. They are facilitating not only a fitness class but a game-changing way to connect people. What we are doing does not exist and I can not stress that enough. Our classes are by far the most exciting and interactive in the market but also very technical. Coaches are required to maneuver 20-30 players/people at once while keeping our teammates not only motivated but safe. Our beat base concept is game-changing and their ability to pair movements to songs is like no other. Lights down and the music up for 45 minutes. We offer 4 unique classes but our most popular is without the ball. If you feel like playing out of your comfort zone, come check out these rockstars - @blakewise10, @lex_jc5, @pablichiroa, @andrew.schmidt0391, @bryancelis12, @lena0929, @schroederj_, @aalonzohtx. #letskickit

Nutritionists/chefs

@enriquecarrillo_ is my wellness coach and helps me prep meals and plan to make sure I play at my best levels. He owns "The Spot" which is a nutrition club in the Montrose/River Oaks area that offers great options for all depending on your needs. When I'm not at "the spot" I am getting my meals from "Goodvibes Lab" which is an amazing meal prep service that offers options again for everyone depending on your current place and situation.

Concierge services

Four Seasons Hotel Houston. The best in town and the best hotel in my opinion. The front desk knows the secret spots of the city and can guide any person in the right direction depending on what they are looking for.

Designer clothing shops/tailors/cobblers

Festari - Deb and Rudy are the best. they offer some of the best custom suits and clothes in the city of Houston, in my opinion. The service is incredible and you usually run into some professional athletes when you kick it there as they don't only offer great products, but a service that fosters a warm and loving environment for people to feel like they are at home.

Barbers

10 years going strong at Blue Mambo studio. Julie Deal always keeps me looking clean and changing up my game to keep even myself on my toes with the new style.
