With a life philosophy of living every day like his last, it's important for Houston trendsetter, Christian Pope to stay healthy and looking his best. Here are a few of Pope's top picks around Houston and beyond that help him be his best self.
My go-to trainer is Arist Wright. The workout plans he provides are easy to do and have fast results if you stick to the plan. A typical workout plan would involve crunches, tricep pull-ups, seated cable rows. A full workout typically takes me about 1.5hrs to complete. He also encourages me to include lots of protein, complex carbs, fruit and vegetables in my daily diet. My preference is oranges, grapes, apples, green beans, asparagus, chicken and salmon.
I am a student at the Houston Shaolin Temple. I study Kung Fu, Qi Gong and Tai Chi. I focus more on meditation, stretching, and the art of fighting without fighting. I love how I feel when I leave there. Stress-free, clear headed, and energized to the point that I don't feel tired.
Clothing shops? I only shop at Southern Gents, check them out! These are people I grew up with and they started the company in 2012. The business has been thriving since and has been featured in GQ and most local Houston papers and magazines.
My go-to tailor is William the Tailor. He’s located at 5959 Westheimer Rd, near the Galleria Mall. William has been in Houston for many years. Many people in the greater Houston area use him to tailor their suits because he does such an amazing job.
My personal barber is Rican McGusty. He’s actually known for being a member of the Houston’s Waxaholics. And he’s the personal DJ for the well-known rapper Tobe Nwigwe. So when he’s not around while he’s touring, I see Darquis Kelly. I know I can always find him at Ramone’s Salon off of South Gessner.
