Personal trainers
I work out with friends at Equinox on Union St. I find working out with a friend is both fun and motivating. I try to work out every day even if it’s just for 30 mins. It’s better to do something than nothing.
Nutritionists/chefs
My friend Daniel de La Falaise is an amazing organic farm to table chef based out of the French countryside. I love his cookbook he authored a few years ago Nature's Larder: Cooking with the Senses. I believe that it’s ok to eat whatever you want but in moderation. Other than that, I try to eat more greens than anything else. You have two brains, your gut is one of them.
Concierge services
Myself or Amex but if I have clients who need full-service concierge, my friend Evan runs a great boutique company called A Mint Life that will cover travel, security, reservations and accommodations and entertainment anywhere in the world. Completely full service. amintlife.com
Designer clothing shops/tailors/cobblers
I shop mainly in London. My favorite shoe cobblers/stores are Edward Green on Jermyn St and Crockett and Jones in the Burlington Arcade. The Burlington Arcade is one of the most magical shopping spots anywhere. It’s the oldest ‘mall’ in the world and was originally built by the 1st Earl of Burlington. I love a great atmosphere and London has that! For a handmade suit, I prefer Anderson and Sheppard in Mayfair. London has such a great selection of boutiques and designers to choose from you can’t go wrong. For an off the rack tux, a dark navy blue Kiton.
