Living in Vegas means you need to be able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, though the room may sometimes feel like it's spinning, for Ricardo Laguna, it really is. Laguna is an extremely accomplished professional BMX biker who resides in Sin City; here are a few of the spots that Laguna frequents to stay on top of the game.
Go-to trainers: I am lucky to be friends with UFC fighter Julian Marquez. Julian asked me if I wanted to be part of his camp and couldn't turn it down because this would mean we would train at the UFC facility here in Las Vegas where we would push each other to the limit, have every work out machine you can ever think of, plus personal trainers! When it's time for Julian to get his work out in the octagon that's when is time for me to head home and get my BMX training at my personal compound @RLsBackYard.
When I am running short in time and my bike needs some TLC I normally sent it to "The Vault Bicycles Shop" here in Las Vegas. I love the location and Mike the owner and mechanic knows how to fix any issues I might have with my bike or parts needed to get a swap out after a heavy session while preparing for the next competition.
Nutritionists/chefs: As for nutrition rule of thumb for me one month before the competition I run on "Foodie Fit"! The best thing ever is having Charlie, the meal planner for foodie fit, as he knows exactly what my body will need that month to be at peak condition. Best of all, the food arrives at my doorstep twice a week, giving me plenty of food for the whole week. If I need to eat on the road or at home I know Foodie Fit meals are prep and ready to eat saving me tons of time!
Designer clothing shops/tailors/cobblers: For any event or photoshoot I need to do, a must-visit spot for me Stitched Life at the Cosmopolitan where Ricci Lopez can make me look super dapper or if needed, an edgy look; Stitched Life has it all! Anything that you might need right away is totally doable as well since they have their own in-house tailor!
