Since 1928, Sea Island has been known as an exceptional destination appealing to those who appreciate gracious service and heartfelt hospitality. With four Forbes Five-Star experiences -- The Cloister at Sea Island, The Lodge at Sea Island, The Spa at Sea Island, and the Georgian Room restaurant – Sea Island entices families, outdoor and activity enthusiasts, and those simply wanting to refresh and recharge. It is the only resort in the world to have received four Forbes Five-Star awards for 11 consecutive years. The only U.S. resort to host a G-8 Summit of world leaders, Sea Island provides exceptional settings and service for conferences and executive retreats. Located on the southeastern coast of Georgia, midway between Savannah, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida, Sea Island features year-round mild temperatures, five miles of private beach, a Beach Club, tennis and squash centers, Yacht Club, Shooting School, inshore and offshore fishing and much more.

Sea Island is steeped in golf tradition and is home to three championship golf courses, including Seaside and Plantation, home of the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic, as well as the nation’s finest Golf Performance Center. Located on St. Simons Island, The Inn at Sea Island offers comfortable, casual accommodations with access to many Sea Island amenities. Guests may also enjoy nearby Broadfield, a Sea Island Sporting Club and Lodge, offering a variety of seasonal hunting, fishing, sporting and organic culinary opportunities.

Sea Island’s recent $30+ million enhancement program brought the opening of exceptional oceanfront facilities and accommodations at The Lodge at Sea Island, including seven guest cottages, each with sleeping rooms, living room, wet bar, fireplace, and 24-hour butler service as well as the 4,200-square-foot King Cottage. The King Cottage features four bedrooms, each with its own marble bathroom, large living and dining area, catering kitchen with Executive Chef, and, most notably, a private, indoor hitting bay where players hit directly onto the driving range, making it the king of all golf cottages. In addition, the new 17,000-square-foot Golf Performance Center opened, with six instruction and club fitting bays, a putting studio designed by world-renowned putting instructor Phil Kenyon - who serves as Director of Putting Instruction at Sea Island - a full-service golf club workshop, gym with locker rooms, spacious retail area, and indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces.

Continuing to enhance the golf experience, Plantation, the resort’s oldest golf course recently became its newest. Sea Island’s own Davis Love III and his brother, Mark, of Love Golf Design, grew up playing the course, which was literally their back yard. As golf course designers, they have redesigned the course, which reopened for play in October 2019. Capping the new facilities is Sea Strike & Pub, a six-lane bowling alley and casual eatery at the Sea Island Beach Club.
