Committee Member: Harrison Morgan
Palm Beach - Founder of Palm Beach and Co.
Harrison Morgan had his own showroom on 7th Avenue in New York City for more than 20 years, selling hand-beaded evening wear to major department stores throughout the U.S. Three years ago he moved to Palm Beach and started a fun, tropically-inspired collection of women's fashion jewelry. He grew up in “beautiful Atlanta, GA,” where his childhood “was supervised by 2 artists: Mom, a Fashion Designer, and Dad, an Art Director.”
Moving to NYC and working on 7th Avenue in the fashion industry was definitely a crash course one could never learn in school!
All that prowess, agility, strength and (formerly) spotless whites on the tennis court.
Most recently, July 4th croquet at the venerable Ocean Reef Club, Key Largo.
Two weeks this past May (and September last year ) exploring and luxuriating at Villa Cimbrone, Ravello, Italy.
We stay a few times a year at our best friend’s chateau in Normandy. When we are there they hire a Cordon Bleu trained chef; every dinner is beyond exquiste.
My Aunt Nell's homemade poundcake “takes any cake.” Topped with fresh peaches and ice cream.
Good ole' hot southern grits swimming in melted butter.
Duck confit—on rare, usually holiday occasions.
Can't forget the amazing Dover sole at my favorite Cafe Voltaire in Paris.
All the fun of the Sonny & Cher show, combined with the glamour Bob Mackie dreamed up each week for them.
The haunting beauty of Death in Venice; and quirky hilarity of Waiting for Guffman.
My childhood friend’s father was one of the biggest music promoters in the U.S. I spent several nights a week throughout grade school backstage seeing and meeting ( to name a few ) Kiss, ZZ Top, Led Zepeplin, The Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers -- so my mind holds a crazy quilt of band music.
My husband suprised me with front row center tickets to the opera "Aida" at (open air ) Terme-Di Caracalla in Rome. Truly amazing and magical.
I adore the height and command of the road in my red Range Rover Sport. It's more like a speedy computer than a car, but it does take me anywhere I choose to go.
Much different driving experience than I usually have, but the 1970 Mercedes Pagoda has an elegance which, for my rich imagination, absolutely transforms mere 'driving.'
Brando looks great on one but motorcycles are not for for me.
I have a few because "God is in the details." So for casual wear usually my steel Rolex and when black-tie is the order of the evening, I wear my gold Cartier Panthere.
Tough decision. If I buy something, it's my “favorite” so, at the top of my watch choices are my Cartier Panthere and, of course my steel Cartier Tank Francaise.
That insatiable, inner desire body is elated with the Platinum Rolex Presidential.
Have to wait 'til 5ish... because my favorite summer combo of tequila and soda is a definite knockout on a hot summer afternoon!
Thankfully here is no winter in Palm Beach, but I like a good Manhattan.
On extra special occasions Domaine Romanee Conti is a delicious treat!
One can't go wrong with a Montrachet Grand Cru.
From myself, when choosing to start my own company: "Don't overthink it, just get out there and do it!"
This is my second year working with my good friend Stanton Collemer, head of The Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope, and I have just gotten involved with Loggerhead Marinelife Center, where Jack Lighton directs timely, imperative work.
I'm happy to be here—on this planet, particularly in Palm Beach.
