Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele and Wagmi-san in the 10KTF shop

It’s cool to be a bored ape at the yacht club, but it’s even cooler to be a bored ape at the yacht club in some Gucci drip.

Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele is a big fan of the world of NFTs, and now he’s taking that love to New Tokyo’s 10KTF, a virtual shop run by Wagmi-san. The digital artist is known for crafting bespoke accessories for NFTs and digital characters, and with this new collaboration, the pair offers holders of Bored Apes, Cool Cats, World of Women and other collectibles the chance to rock Gucci-inspired digital threads.

Two looks are offered, one based on the Aria collection and another on the recent Love Parade collection, though both are offered in a variety of colors. Collectors who buy the accessories can dress their Picture For Proof NFTs (PFP NFTs), which in laymen terms are those little square images NFT collectible holders set as their social media profile pictures on Twitter and other accounts.

Dubbed the “crystal ball,” the 10KTF shop offerings are accessible only to those who already own a PFP, those who are members of the Gucci Vault community server on Discord, and those who already “inhabit” New Tokyo. Redeeming your crystal ball means trading it in for one of Wagmi-san’s customized wares.

Previous to this digital outfitting adventure, Gucci has branched into the world of NFTs in a few ways. The first honored the Aria collection and Gucci’s 100-year anniversary, releasing a digital asset of the official Aria film via a Christie’s auction. The piece sold for $25,000.

Gucci played with NFTs again in January of this year, teaming with digital art characters Janky and Guggimon on a series of collectible creatures, many of which were also paired with physical, ceramic statues.

The world of Wagmi-san’s 10KTF shop comes to life RPG-style, illustrated beautifully each step of the way. Dive in and connect your Metamask wallet to shop his wares, and if you’re holding on to one of the applicable collectibles or tuned into the Gucci Vault discord server, don’t wait to redeem your crystal ball at 10ktf.com/shop.
