Kicking off the announcement during a Super Bowl commercial, GMC teased football fans around the nation with their all-new and first-ever electric truck, the GMC HUMMER EV. Partnering the announcement with basketball legend, LeBron James, GMC is dubbing this zero-emission addition as the “Quiet Revolution”.

With impressive specs like 1,000 horsepower under the hood, 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and a 0 to 60 mph pull in just 3 seconds, it's no wonder why this new beast paired up with one of the greatest basketball players to set foot on the hardwood.

With his love for Hummer, LeBron calls this collaboration a natural fit for himself. “Teaming up with GMC to introduce the HUMMER EV is a natural fit. Everyone knows about my love for Hummer since high school and I’m proud to be a part of announcing the new EV model,” explains LeBron.

Although fans of the original Hummer may want to get behind the wheel of this all-electric behemoth as soon as they can, the reveal date for the EV model is scheduled for May 20, 2020. I guess good things do come to those who wait.
