What can you tell us about your pop ups?

It is an incredible initiative, where we not only carry the gastronomic proposal of my Baby Brasa, but also carry the DNA of our brand(WHAT?). We are a great team, who love celebrating together and making truly notable (and instagramable) memories. When you arrive at Baby Brasa in NY, you run into people from all walks of life, with very interesting profiles! That is the kind of team we always look for when we travel the world with our pop ups. We want to offer a bit of the coolness of NY to beautiful places and sceneries, bringing, of course, the best Peruvian food you can imagine.

How did the idea for your pop-ups come about?

We wanted to find a way to carry the magic of Baby Brasa around the world. We wanted to bring to our pop ups the feeling of a place where you don’t get to just to eat, but to create the best meeting point of the most interesting and coolest people in the city: young and not so young, who for a moment join in a party with the greatest gastronomic experience you can imagine.

Where has your favorite pop up been so far?

All pop-ups are very unique due to their geographic location and timing. We have not done them in the same place twice. From the Hamptons to Ibiza, I can assure you that I have anecdotes for hours. The next one will be in Rio in early January.

Where did the idea for Baby Brasa originate?

Restaurants were my family’s business, and I always wanted to develop my own. I wanted to have a place that reflects the best of my cultural heritage: fun personality and amazing food.

There are rumors of you opening a second location for Baby Brasa, can you tell us a bit about this?

Yes! I am very excited to have a second home. We hope to open it early 2020. We are working on all details. The format will be a bit different. We are rethinking the concept of Fast Food but with the healthy and super tasty approach that can only be found at Baby Brasa.

What is your favorite dish to cook?

Currently more than cooking dishes, I am at a stage, where I am exploring the universe of smoothies. It is impressive to see the positive changes you can make in your body with the right ingredients. In my IG tv you can find multiple recipes that I have already tried. They are practical, nutritious, easy to make and delicious.

What is your favorite dish at Baby Brasa?

The flamed Tuna Tartare is always the star of the night. It always steals all the attention. (And likes).

How did you get into cooking?

As a model you always have to watch what you eat, and there was this belief that healthy food was extremely boring. I decided to become a chef and study in order to get to know food better and develop proposals that could keep me healthy, fit and most importantly happy.

Tell us a bit about your pop up that's happening in Rio

I love Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is a fantastic place with a unique vibe. It will be a great experience that I am sure will bring us closer to the fantastic Brazilian culture. Baby Brasa Rio will take place January 8,9 and 10th at XIEN, an amazing venue.

How would you say the reactions to Baby Brasa have been?

I am so thankful for our customers. I usually wear Baby Brasa’s clothing line whether I am in NYC or in another country, and people come to tell me they know Baby Brasa! I am humbled to know that we have created a happy space with fantastic food that people (New Yokers and visitors) love.
