“I started Sigil as an homage to old-world perfumery traditions, processes, raw materials—with a dash of experimentation and intuition,” says Patrick Kelly, founder of Sigil, the elevated, genderless natural fragrance line that’s made a splash in L.A. and beyond. “It’s very much about the connection between the ornate and the modern, the healthy friction between the natural world and our place within it.” Kelly’s personal style—think a lightweight suit paired with platforms and a pearl earring—reflects this sentiment. “Sigil is understated and more about subtle use of color and embellishments than anything too loud or flashy,” he explains. “This definitely translates to my personal style, as I tend to wear muted palettes—cream, beige, white—with unexpected pops of color.”

In three words, I would describe my style as bright, layered, understated.

When I was a kid, I was a freak (in the best possible way).

If I could turn back time, I would tell myself to worry less, savor more.
