You could reasonably expect to find an exotic material like carbon fiber on fighter jets, airplanes, and supercars, but a pickup truck? Enter the first carbon fiber composite pickup bed, featured on the new 2019 GMC Sierra CarbonPro AT4 1500. The CarbonPro pickup bed offers the most scratch, dent, and corrosion-resistant pickup bed in the industry. To test it, GMC repeatedly dropped large and heavy loads into the CarbonPro bed including cinder blocks, 1800-pound loads of gravel and 450-pound water-filled steel drums from varying heights. The CarbonPro bed also passed the Snowmobile test, where a snowmobile with metal studs on the track was driven into the bed and accelerated at full throttle with a 250-pound rider onboard. The result? Only minimal scratching. The CarbonPro bed also features a higher payload capacity due to its weight savings over a steel bed, offering 59 pounds of extra payload. Check out the new GMC Sierra AT4 1500 CarbonPro pickup at your local GMC dealer today.
