For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction, a balancing act of the world where everything has a push or pull, but an impact nonetheless. The avant-garde art movement Dada was a result of that inevitable codependency. The nonsensical nature of Dadaism brings about an area of freedom and play back to a world of rules. This, in its overarching themes, is what Claire Olshan is doing for the health food world. You might know Olshan from her first success, Fivestory, an Upper East Side fashion boutique curated with the most-sought-after ready-to-wear designers.

Now, her healthy lifestyle brand attempts to crack an already competitive market by turning its back on the expected. Out with hippie, detox brands hawking shakes and juices, and in with liberated snacking. “Snacks should be an extension of your personality and aesthetic that you should feel proud to bring to a dinner table, social gathering or to [just display] on your desk,” says Olshan. “DADA is about taking a typically mindless moment and infusing decadence, inspiration and joy into it.”

Recently, local Caroline Rafferty hosted DADA Daily at The Grand Tour, where the brand will be sold exclusively to Palm Beachers. Says Rafferty, “The beauty of the brand does not end with the delightful packaging or cerebral approach to an everyday act. It is delicious and unexpected, and breaking the very boundaries it seeks to question.” During a demo, tables were set with DADA’s whimsical Light My Fingers candles, handshaped napkin rings and place cards. During the meal, Olshan’s cheesy cauliflower popcorn florets subbed for a heavy rice, cutting calories, and for dessert, schisandra chocolate truffles in the shape of lips and matcha latte truffles in the shape of eyes—a cheeky way to end the meal.

For dessert, try vegan, gluten, dairy-free, refined sugar-free matcha latte petite bars, paired here with a strawberry chocolate mousse

“I believe, in this day and age, value should be a big word, and, with DADA, you really get value from our products; not only in their super-high-quality ingredients, but also in the fact that they can live a life of luxury at a dinner party and in the cool casual world of an on-the-go pick-me-up.” Grab a matcha latte truffle for the afternoon slump (matcha has energy, and maca root for stamina and focus; and pea protein keeps you going), or indulge in a truffle with a glass of wine after hours—whatever it is, DADA Daily aims to make you and your world feel good from the outside in. 340 Royal Poinciana Plaza, Ste.
