Committee Member: Brett David
Miami - CEO of Prestige Imports
Brett David began his career at Prestige Imports after the unfortunate passing of his father. Taking the reins, David quickly became the CEO, and has quickly advanced the company into what it is today. All of David's decisions as CEO has come with his father in mind in order to continue his legacy. David's path in the future holds many other cards in hand such as working on Prestige Marine, Prestige Aviation, Prestige Auto Spa, Prestige Energy and more.
North Miami Beach
North Miami Beach, still residing in the same home I grew up in.
I graduated from Scheck Hillel Community School in North Miami Beach. I never got the opportunity to go to college due to my father Irv David’s unfortunate early passing. I definitely recommend those that have the opportunity to attend college, but I realize that on my path, if I had gone to college, I wouldn’t have been able to grow the business into what it has become today. Circumstances, be what they may, for that I am thankful.
Definitely Formula One racing.
Racecar driving or road biking.
While I’ve had many memorable vacations, business trips have been the most interesting. I would have to choose the first time I ever went to the Pagani Automobili S.P.A factory in Italy and specked out the Pagani Huayra Project Vulcan in honor of my father.
The Maldives. While I enjoy being entrenched in the hard work it takes to continue to build this business, I would love the opportunity to get to a point in my life where I can take some time to disconnect from my phone and simply be one with the water. I think the Maldives would be the perfect destination.
Sushi Yasuda in NYC. They serve truly amazing traditional sushi. It’s really an authentic experience that I would definitely recommend.
Fresh fruit.
Healthy food is often underrated when it comes to taste, but our partner inside our new Prestige Auto Spa, Juice & Java, serves a huge selection of fresh cuisine consisting of all-natural healthy organic food that is deliciously prepared.
While cooking is not my specialty, I am great at ordering Uber Eats.
I’d say sitting beachside at Il Mulino Restaurant inside Acqualina Resort and Spa on the beach, eating anything and everything on their menu.
First and foremost, of course, I’d choose my father, Irv David, because our time together was cut too short and there was so much that remained unspoken. I miss him every day and would jump at any opportunity to spend time with him again.
Second, I’d choose Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man who founded Lamborghini. He was an icon to both my father and I; the chance to bring them together would be amazing. Personally, I’d love to understand the thoughts, difficulties, successes and failures he experienced when creating his product.
Finally, I’d choose Warren Buffet, because I’d love to both understand and get into the mindset of someone who has lived such a powerful life and yet has remained so humble. He sets a great example, showing the world what’s truly important in life by the way he lives his own. Success to him is not necessarily in the numbers, which is parallel to my mission statement.
Scooby Doo or Saved by The Bell.
Gone in 60 Seconds and The Departed.
Christopher Waltz.
Imagine Dragons.
Lenny Kravitz.
Lamborghini Urus.
I’ve driven many cars, but I think what I’d really like is to be driven in a car. That doesn’t happen very often.
Pagani Hyuara and Elenor Shelby gt 500 fastback.
Ducati.
Yes.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Skeleton 18k Rose Gold Watch.
Patek Phillippe Sky Moon Tourbillon.
La Fete Rosé.
Smoky old fashioned.
Neither.
Neither, but I love Sake.
Hermes or Creed.
Gaja.
White Bordeaux.
Bimini Beach, Bahamas.
My favorite errand to run on Saturday’s is going to work.
Boating on Biscayne Bay.
Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.
There is so much that I love about my career, but one of my favorite things is the opportunity I have to sit across from the successful and innovative individuals that buy some of the amazing automobiles at Prestige Imports. The fact that I’m in a rare position to hear about how these individuals got to where they are today certainly isn’t lost on me, and I have learned so much from each and every one of them.
CEO of Prestige Imports.
After my father passed in 2007, I worked very hard to continue his legacy. It’s hard to believe it’s been over twelve years since his journey ended and my professional journey began. Everything I do, every decision that’s made is with him in mind. My future path holds exciting projects as we are constantly growing our portfolio of brands such as Prestige Marine, Prestige Aviation, Prestige Auto Spa, Prestige Energy and more.
Absolutely. I believe that anyone who is fortunate enough to be able to give back should find a cause that speaks to them and make time to do it. In 2011, I recognized that while many charities did provide money for children with life-threatening illnesses, which is also very important, few seemed to offer experiences that would truly put a smile on the deserving faces of these kids, which is why my sister Brooke and I started Ride2Revive. Ride2Revive provides children affected by life-threatening diseases with a memorable, adrenaline-filled driving experience to revitalize their senses and distract them from their health-related struggles. Ride2Revive has truly been a rewarding endeavor for me and my family, and I’m always thankful to get to spend time with these amazing kids. ride2revive.org
