With Holiday travels on everyone's mind this time of year, we ask Manhattan Committee member and Global Vice President at Assouline Publishing, Alex Assouline, to break down his must-see and must do things in Paris so you can enhance your vacation, or perhaps be enticed to indulge in a Parisian escape this winter.

Best place to experience Parisian nightlife?

All around Rue Princesse, there are so many little places, you’ll have a great time.

Top spot to experience a true Parisian meal?

Chez L’Ami Louis for sure!

Best coffee in Paris is at:

I don’t really drink coffee, but if I did, it would definitely be at Carette

Your go to spot to get fine French clothing?

Every time I go to Paris I go to a store called Wicket, located on Rue de Grenelle. I have all my suits made there, I get one suit every time I’m in Paris

What is an off the beaten path place to relax for a day in Paris?

When I need to really relax I’ll go sit around the fountain at the Palais Royal and read a book.

One place you go every time you're in Paris is:

I always need to spend at least 30 minutes on the Pont Alexandre III

A must try meal in Paris is?

This is a tough one, but it would have to be the newly added Cote de Veau aux Morilles at Hotel Costes. I had it once and it has been stuck in my head ever since!

The place you tend to avoid while in Paris is:

Champs Elysees, too crowded.

A trip to Paris would not be complete for you without a trip to:

The Puces de St. Ouen. It is a flea market right outside of Paris, you always find a hidden gem.

Please add any other top spots you would like our readers should know!

I love Hobbs Cashmere, it’s great when you are trying to get ready for winter.
