There’s no question that George Clooney has impeccable taste. The actor has been a men’s style icon for decades, and his partnership with Omega watches (omegawatches.com) dates back nearly that long. The company’s stylish, versatile watches have been adorning the wrists of athletes, adventurers and executives since 1848, and have been worn on every NASA mission since 1965. Omega watches have been to the Olympics and to the moon, but now Clooney and his Casamigos tequila and mezcal brand (casamigos.com) are taking them somewhere new.

“George and Cindy have been with Omega for a long time, so this partnership was a natural fit,” says Casamigos cofounder Rande Gerber, referring both to Clooney and to Gerber’s wife, Cindy Crawford, both of whom are Omega ambassadors (along with Gerber and Crawford’s children Kaia and Presley, who joined the brand in 2017). The Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black” Casamigos is a limited edition of 80 pieces, created by Omega and Casamigos, a watch that upholds the sophisticated standards of both brands. “Just as we created Casamigos for us to drink, we approached our Omega collaboration with the same goal, to have something unique that we want to wear,” Gerber explains. “Casamigos is a lifestyle, our lifestyle, and the design was inspired by the way we live and what we drink.”

The design of the watch takes Omega’s GMT model and diving watch and combines them with a look reminiscent of the bottle for Casamigos’ new mezcal, along with the Casamigos mezcal logo and the edition number (Clooney himself took number 61, for his birth year). Exclusively available in Omega boutiques in the U.S. (including locations at Bellagio and Wynn), the watch may not make wearers as suave and charismatic as Clooney or Gerber, but it will demonstrate that they share their penchant for high quality.
