The fajita platter at new Ninfa’s Uptown

The iconic Tex-Mex institution founded by Mama Ninfa Laurenzo in 1973 has spawned an all-new second Ninfa’s in the glossy BLVD Place mixed-use complex. Housed in the former Peska space, this modern expanded spot was designed by architect Michael Hsu and team, and features a wood-burning oven and grill, three patios and a tortilla-making station. “It feels as comfortable and inviting as The Original while appealing to the demographic of the Uptown Houston area,” Legacy Restaurants CEO Jonathan Horowitz said in a statement. For the exec chef position, the group has tapped Jason Gould, a seasoned chef who plans to carry on the updated menus created by corporate executive chef Alex Padilla. Anticipate classic favorites—sizzling fajita platters, Ninfaritas and tacos al carbon—along with modern classics like Texas grilled quail with onions and peppers, and shrimp Tampico. 1700 Post Oak Blvd., Ste. 1-190, 346.335.2404, ninfas.com
