Imagine living in a home designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. It would be a dream. A dream that Fernan Hernandez and Holger Odenstein of Morada-Haute Furniture Boutique have brought a little closer to reality.

“Tropical Future Lovers.” When Hernandez and Odenstein set out designing a model unit in the new One Thousand Museum Residences by Zaha Hadid Architects, these words—and of course the late Pritzker Prize-winning architect’s vision and legacy—served as their inspiration.

“Zaha believed in the future and stated that ‘Architecture must contribute to society’s progress and ultimately to our individual and collective well-being,’” says Odenstein. With that same sense of innovation, the duo created a tailored ambiance that emulates the curves of the building and speaks to the colors of the city and the frame created by the water and the sky. The 7,000-square-foot unit marries the best of furniture design (Italian craftsmanship) and forward-thinking technology (lights that respond to touch, wireless battery chargers integrated into furniture). The idea is to “provide the humans of today with the possibilities of the future,” says Odenstein.

You’ll spot Morada’s iconic Dragonfly lounge chair and also new pieces designed exclusively for the unit, such as the Silhouette Spatial with built-in ambient lighting.
