Starting this fall, teens will finally be able to get behind the wheel of a Land Rover at one of the brand’s three off-road driving schools, even without a license. Land Rover’s Experience Centers at the Quail Lodge in Carmel, CA, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, and the Equinox Resort in Manchester, VT will all offer off-road driving experiences for teens aged 14 and up.

Specially fitted Land Rovers with an added brake pedal on the passenger side will be used for the Teen Driving Experience and a parent or guardian will be required to be in the vehicle at all times. The one-hour session costs $275 and includes low level obstacles including an ascent and decline hill, slalom course and braking obstacles. The advanced session costs $425 and includes 30 to 45 minutes of instruction including a small water crossing and mud and ruts practice. While no previous driving experience is required, teens must be at least tall enough to reach the pedals, or 4’8” tall.
