Practice What You Preach
“I love Aveda skincare products. There’s great shampoo and conditioner too, but my head is shaved so I don’t need to use hair products. But the body wash is great.”

Natural Wonder
“Up here in Woodstock, we have the Blanket Creek Mountain Bike Park, and I have a trail there named after Van Michael Salon. The park is important to us, so we’ve donated to it over the years. We also raise money for the Chattahoochee River Keeper Foundation. Van Michael Salon have raised approximately $200,000 since 2010.Together the local Aveda network has raised more than $436,000 for the CRK since 2010.”

Buckhead Eats
“My top three favorite restaurants, in this order, are Umi, Chops Lobster Bar and Houston’s. For drinks, I like to go to Himitsu.”

Speed and Stealth
“I have a Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition, so that’s fun to drive around town. I’d love to take it up to the mountains, but usually we’ll take an SUV loaded down with kayaks, bikes and gear.”

Paddle Perfect
“I’m a big whitewater kayaker too, so I’ll use our lake to practice rolls and stuff. My favorite boats are a Jackson Kayak and a Liquid Logic.”

Mountain Time
“We have a place in the mountains right on the Toccoa River near Blue Ridge, Ga. We love going up there, but we’re actually doing a big renovation right now.”

Body Maintenance
“I get a sports massage once or twice a week at a place called Beyond Massage Atlanta.”

Backyard Boating
“We have a lake in the backyard on our property, so we’ll wakeboard and water ski. We actually have a ski jump and a slalom course out there; I’ll pull people in our boat. We have a Malibu Response.”

Adventure Junkies
“I’m actually going out to Sedona in Arizona for a mountain biking trip. I’m not much of a lie-on-the-beach kind of a person. We usually ski in the winter after Christmas; we’ll go out to Utah to ski and snowboard. We really like Snowbird.”
