4 Amazing Simple Salads to Pick Up for a WFH Lunch

4 Amazing Simple Salads to Pick Up for a WFH Lunch

April 1, 2020 by

Jayne Chase Jayne Chase

In uncertain times as these, it is important to (metaphorically) band together and support our local businesses—and get a good lunch! These spots are great for lunch and all offer take out and delivery options for the perfect break in your work from home day.

LUNCH SAVVY

Bricktop’s has a full salad offering at lunch, brunch and dinner. Lunchtime favorites include the little gem chopped salad, perfectly dressed with Bricktop’s green goddess dressing; and their brunch menu staple, the Palm Beach salad, a tower of crab meat, shrimp, remoulade, tomato and avocado, topped with a chopped egg. Any of their salad choices will allow you to feel full, satisfied and calorie-happy. 375 S. County Road, 561.855.2030

FAST CASUAL

For plant-based fans, the Palm Beach location of Field of Greens never disappoints. A full menu of acai bowls, juices, breakfast and lunchtime wraps, and salads that are chopped in front of your eyes are offered daily. Local faves include the Full of Life, Asian Quinoa and the market salads, each healthier than the next. Sit at the counter, tables or enjoy take-out. 261 Royal Poinciana Way, 561.335.5144

HAPPY HOUR SNACK

The Honor Bar, located at The Royal Poinciana Plaza, is busy day and night. Although they do not take reservations, the counter and tables turn over pretty quickly. Everyone loves the Pine Room salad with mixed greens, aged cheddar cheese, chopped egg and toasted almonds. Another crowd favorite is the refreshing and light The Macho salad with roasted chicken, avocado, dates, goat cheese and corn, topped with the best cornbread croutons in the county. If you are a regular, they might throw a few extras on for you! 340 Royal Poinciana Way, 561.209.2799

INSALATE

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience for lunch or dinner, look no further than Sant Ambroeus, located in The Royal Poinciana Plaza. Although this touch of old-world charm is known for its fresh pasta and delicious cookies, cakes, pies and creamy gelato, those looking for lighter fare will be happy with any one of their salads. Favorites include insalata centocolori with the freshest buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, avocado and hearts of palm; and the insalata di carciofi with thinly sliced artichokes topped off with shavings of 24-month-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. Sit outside in front of the beautiful water fountain and savor the true spirit of Palm Beach. 340 Royal Poinciana Way, 561.285.7990
