With the recent groundbreaking on two opulent hotel properties, it’s safe to say 2019 will be a record year. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Honolulu, a chic, contemporary 36-floor location features 125 posh rooms, as well as 99 ultraexclusive resident homes starting on the 19th floor. With private resident-only amenities including a luxury pool, outdoor lounge and Dolby Theatre—to name a few—it’s set to be a major hot spot. Prices are anticipated to start around $3.5 million.
Also in Honolulu, the iconic skyline is getting a revamp after the multimillion-dollar property overhaul of Waikiki Parc Hotel. In its place: the Halepuna Waikiki by Halekulani, an innovative upscale 288-room boutique hotel with gorgeous vaulted ceilings, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, artwork and custom light fixtures. The highlight feature: the eighth-floor pool deck complete with a luxe remodel and exclusive guest access. Both properties’ designs incorporate local heritage and are among the most extravagant on the island.
